US EPA’s upcoming proposal on biofuel blending mandates to cover two years, sources say

NEW YORK (Reuters) -The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency plans to release a proposal on biofuel blending mandates that covers two years worth of mandates, instead of a proposal that covers three years, two sources familiar with the matter told Reuters on Tuesday.

Under U.S. law, oil refiners must blend billions of gallons of biofuels into the nation’s fuel mix, or buy credits from those that do.
