Missile and Drone Strikes by Hezbollah Injure 8 in Northern Israel

At least eight people were wounded on Thursday in an anti-tank guided missile attack on Israel’s border with Lebanon, claimed by the Hezbollah terror group, followed by a subsequent drone strike that injured others. The attacks occurred in the Ramim Ridge area and sparked immediate retaliation from Israeli forces.

Rambam Medical Center in Haifa reported admitting two people in moderate-to-serious condition, while Ziv Hospital in Safed admitted six individuals who were lightly hurt. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said they returned fire with artillery at the source of the missile launches.

Video footage shared on social media showed a projectile striking a chicken coop in the Margaliot agricultural community. Although there were no injuries to people, the structure was filled with livestock at the time, and it remains unclear if any animals were harmed.

Later in the day, explosive-laden drones launched from Lebanon struck several areas in northern Israel. One drone impacted outside the community of Ya’ara in the Western Galilee, wounding several people, according to the IDF. Additional drones struck near the northern community of Beit Hillel, sparking fires but causing no injuries.

These incidents come amid escalating tensions on the Israel-Lebanon border, where Hezbollah and Israeli forces have been exchanging fire for months. The conflict has raised fears of an all-out war, particularly following recent incidents that have left dozens dead and thousands injured across Lebanon. On Tuesday, thousands of pagers carried by Hezbollah members exploded simultaneously, killing 12 people and injuring nearly 3,000, an attack Hezbollah blamed on Israel.
